Zombieland - A Review

Just about every single zombie movie is the same. Just about every single person dies except for that small group that survives. The zombies eventually start killing them off one by one leaving at least two survivors, at the end not knowing what happened to them. Almost every zombie movie you pretty much already know what’s going to happen next because it seems like you just got done watching it the only difference from this movie from the last zombie movie are the titles.
Zombie Land has a new twist of things that happens. Zombie land is about four people that are still alive, and at the beginning of the movie you start to think it’s just like any other zombie movie. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) is a student at the University Of Texas trying to make his way to his home town of Columbus, OH, where he hopes his parents are still alive. Columbus is a geeky guy who worries too much, and has an obsessive compulsive issue; this helps him to survive in Zombieland. Columbus is walking down a high way when he runs into Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), driving a black Escalade. Tallahassee is trying to get to Florida and he is killing as many zombies as he can on the way there. Tallahassee’s main quest is to find a Twinkie. Tallahassee gives Columbus a ride as far as Texarkana. They stop at a grocery store to see if there are any Twinkies. There are two zombies in the store and Tallahassee has fun killing them. Tallahassee and Columbus finds Wichita (Emma Stone), and her little sister, Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) in the store room. Wichita and Little Rock lie and say Little Rock has been bitten and they want Tallahassee or Columbus to shoot her before she turns into a zombie. Columbus hands Wichita the gun, then she uses the gun to steal the escalade and the guns in the back of the escalade. Then they head to LA where Little Rock believes is a place where no zombies are, and an amusement park she went to when she was little. Wichita knows it’s probably not true but wants to take her there anyways because she loves her sister.
Tallahassee wants to get revenge on them so they start heading to LA too. Tallahassee and Columbus finds a yellow escalade full of guns and head to LA. After a while of driving Tallahassee and Columbus find the black escalade in the middle of the street broken down. Tallahassee goes to find out what was going on. Columbus drives the car closer to the black escalade and as soon as Tallahassee get into the car, Wichita and Little Rock are in the back of the car with guns once again Tallahassee and Columbus where hostages to Two teen aged girls. After they all start pointing guns at each other they decide to drive to LA together. Columbus wanted to go find his family but he realized that they were probably already zombies so he decided to stay with the group. They all arrive in Hollywood, they go to find Bill Murray’s house, because Tallahassee can’t believe that Little Rock has never heard of him. They arrive at Bill Murray’s house Columbus takes Little Rock to show her the ghost Busters movie while Tallahassee and Wichita go and look around. Tallahassee and Wichita find Bill Murray he’s still alive. Bill had his make up artist make him look like a zombie because zombies don’t attack each other. Tallahassee and Wichita wants Bill to scare Columbus because Tallahassee thinks he’s easy to scare. While Bill was trying to scare him Columbus shoots Bill thinking he was a zombie.
The next Wichita and Little Rock leave without telling Columbus and Tallahassee. When the guys wake up they realize that they have been robbed again. Tallahassee is mad and wants to go his own way, but Columbus wants to go after them. Tallahassee agrees to go with. Wichita and Little rock arrive at the amusement park in LA they are the only ones at the amusement park Wichita turns all the lights on and the rides start to go. Because of the noise and the lights the zombies start heading to the park. They eventually surround Wichita and Tallahassee. Columbus saves them while Tallahassee is having fun distracting the zombies. After Columbus gets Wichita and Little Rock he goes to find Tallahassee. And of course Tallahassee see’s a sign that says fried Twinkies, he finds a closet but hears a noise so he shoots at the closet he opens it and finds that he shot the box of Twinkies. Little Rock tosses Tallahassee the last Twinkie and makes Tallahassee happy.
